on a beautiful afternoon last week the new puppets for village halloween parade were put through their paces. the rehearsal of momento mori started from a barn in upstate new york, where all of the construction takes place, and ended in a field overlooking the hudson.

the horses (night-mares) galloping through these videos and all of the other puppets were created by the processional arts workshop aka superior concept monsters for this year's parade.

didier civil, an artist from haiti, is the guest collaborator. didier along with sophia michahelles and alex kahn of the processional arts workshop (and with the help of numerous volunteers) have created the spirits that will lead the parade up 6th avenue.
